What the National Weather Service recorded
A low pressure system located just north of Minnesota moved eastward over northern Wisconsin. South winds ahead of this low and an advancing strong cold front brought an increase in moisture and instability. Severe thunderstorms developed along the cold front across southern Wisconsin. Storm reports were limited to thunderstorm wind damage in Columbia and Dodge counties.
