What the National Weather Service recorded
A surge of warm and moist air on a low level jet stream resulted in numerous thunderstorms over southern Wisconsin. Very heavy rain resulted in flash flooding, some street flooding; in addition to some hail with the storms. The roof of a home in Oconomowoc was struck by lightning with a resultant fire.
