How To Read A Roofer’s Reviews

Look for the second winter

Anyone can be pleased on the day the roof goes on. A review written after a Wisconsin winter or two is a review of the flashing, the nailing and the ventilation — the things the warranty covers.

Look for the town

A review that names Watertown, Jefferson or Lake Mills is from a neighbor. A page of reviews from three states is a storm crew’s trail.

Look for the reply

A bad review with a straight answer underneath it tells you more than ten good ones. We do not remove them.

Then check the license

Reviews say what a customer felt. The state license lookup says whether the company is certified in Wisconsin and for how long. Do both.

No. If something went wrong we would rather it were on the record with our reply underneath it. A page of nothing but five stars is not credible and everybody knows it — and a local business in a town of this size cannot hide a bad job anyway, because the neighbor will have seen it. How we work is written so that you can hold us to it.

The Better Business Bureau, where we are accredited, and our Google Business Profile. We would encourage you to read them there rather than take our word for what they say. And for the company itself rather than the customers’ view of it, the DSPS license lookup shows our Dwelling Contractor Certification and how long we have held it.

If you would rather tell us directly, the contact page has the number, and we will not mind if it is a complaint; those are the ones we learn from.

Because for twenty years we did not ask, and word of mouth in a small town does not leave a record on the internet. We are asking now. The finished jobs are on the site with their towns named, and anyone who wants to see a roof in person rather than read about it is welcome to.
