What the National Weather Service recorded
Thunderstorms developed across south central and southwest WI, and moved into east-central and southeast Wisconsin during the afternoon and evening hours. The initial round of strong storms that dived south along and inland from Lake Michigan produced strong thunderstorm outflow, of 40 to 50 mph out ahead of the main line of storms. Additional storms that developed across southwest WI caused wind damage in portions of Lafayette County.
